Introduction

By the time most readers make it to the REVEAL site, and especially to this page, they realize that there is a HUGE amount of information on the Internet about the International Churches of Christ (ICC) and its earlier incarnations, the Boston Church of Christ/Boston Movement and Crossroads Church of Christ/ Crossroads Movement. That information can be overwhelming to someone who first heard of the ICC a few days earlier, as many visitors to the REVEAL site have.

In this section, we will try to give you a concise description of the International Churches of Christ -- to provide the necessary background and a starter set of information which will enable readers to put the other information they will find in context.

There is a lot of other information you will need to put in context. Much of the available information on the ICC consists of primary source documents about the ICC and personal testimonies of current and former members of the group. Some of it can be called "information" only in the loosest sense of the word ("propaganda" would be more appropriate in many cases), but much of it is invaluable. It gives the personal experiences of people who had personal encounters with the ICC -- as members, potential members, and families and friends of people who joined or were recruited by this group.

The problem is that most of this information assumes the reader knows what the ICC is and has some background in it. And that isn't always the case.

So that's what we are trying to provide.
